Within the THEREDA project, KIT-INE generates and evaluates thermodynamic data – complex formation constants, solubility data – for selected radionuclides from experiments and literature. The data are incorporated into a centrally managed and administered database of evaluated thermodynamic parameters after passing an evaluation process. This database is open for registered user. Thermodynamic data are required for environmental applications in general and radiochemical issues in particular. THEREDA is developed to be a national (reference) standard and will be the basis for performance assessment calculations for a national nuclear waste repository.
